'NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS. Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) I've tried.

I have had ample enough time to test nvidia geforce 7600 gt driver update windows 7 for nvidia geforce 7600 gt driver update windows 7 I do on a computer fully which includes music, movies, and gaming.
An i3 or newer generation Celeron Processor should be able to out due this laptop all around.
Before I get started, I'm going to point out some things nvidia geforce 7600 gt driver update windows 7 the review in general.
And supposedly some new memory bus.?
I'd rather be pleasantly surprised at actual launch than to hear about these claims before launch.
Sill have to wait for the real reviews but If it has the right support pcie lanes usb 3.
Quad channel has always been reserved for servers and that includes Intel X chips are effectively unlocked Xeons sold at outrageous prices.
The part about outrageous prices only is not true.
The biggest variable for success is the clock speed.
The price where the 5960x is at actually has very little do do with how a Zen eigjt core is priced.
Then there's also the fact that Intel has completely out of the production factor and rather solely on demand.
Profit per chip is only half of the equation, the sales amounts are equally important.

Gaming is probably going to be one of the places where Zen isn't going to be that much more attractive than what's availabe, or at least the high core count chips.

In the demo, which was performed just once, the Zen finished a nose ahead of the Broadwell-E Core i7-6900K chip.

COMO DESCARGAR E INSTALAR DRIVER NVIDIA GEFORCE SERIE 6 Y7

nvidia geforce 7600 gt driver update windows 7

Recommended driver for Nvidia cards.
I'm stuck with lousy Microsoft basic display adapter because Nvidia is too lazy to update my graphics driver.
My pc is less than 5 years old, its not like a win 95 pc from the 90's.
So Microsoft basically forces me to upgrade to win 10.
Nvidia is not making an upgrade for my driver, just this one here thats not compatible with my pc.
And now I lost use of all my video games and some other software.
And it works like a charm.
And yes, it thankfully doesn't have an Nvidia graphics card.
I stick for the time being with 359.
Rollin back to prev version.
I had to do a system restore to get my graphics card to work on an earlier version Reviewing 340.
Too bad Nvidia won't provide support.
One thing I reccommend with nvidia drivers,is to turn off threaded optimization,or it can cause slowdowns, and a few ppl get crashes.
Hopefully it'll get fixed or removed soon, been waiting a while on that.
Different games and apps run better depending which tech is was designed for.
The last good driver was 331.
For my 9xxx series video card, I get a black screen after install in Windows 8 32-bit.
Had to cold poweroff by holding down the power button a few seconds.
Apparently the black screen is caused by windowsupdate installing the stock driver in the background, and this conflicts with the new driver being installed.
Thanks to 'battleaxe231' for finding the issue.
Here's what you need to do for windows 8 install: 1.
Make sure you have the 310.
If it's the stock driver from windows, right click on the video card in device manager and select 'uninstall'.
In normal mode, check device manager video card, it should say 'wddm', now you can install 310.
It's not happening with the 306.
Drivers are working fine in 2nd Life.
It's a 5 Reviewing 310.
This was a good update for the nVidia card series.
Installed seamlessly and after two days of use I have encountered no issues with it.
So far so good, Windows 8 system has otherwise been rock stable with it.
Still introducing problems where none previously existed on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit system.
So I have gone back to 290.
For that same reason, as well as smaller file size, I'm using the December?
Sorry, don't have version number because I repacked the installer.
Two mobile 425m and 580m and two desktop 460 and 580 and have found that the 266.
They do have some interface improvements, such as for the scaling options, which are nice, so I have given it a 2 instead of a 1, but sadly, the drivers still do not seem to be able to force 1:1 scaling in all modes on all monitors.
On a SyncMaster 305t, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x768 and 1280x800 resolutions all stretch full screen regardless of the setting in the driver.
My recommendation is to stick with 266.
Hope that helps someone out there.
The 3d nonsense and the updater I leave unchecked.
My next card will be an ati.
The one I use now is the first nvidia I've ever bought and will probably be the last.
And test all your updates to confirm that they work properly, cause I can't toggle that thing off, and I can't get it to disappear from the context menu either.
Back to the previous versions...
Really odd, thought my graphics card was going bad at first.
Reverted back to last build.
Fine again, so 100% sure it was the driver.
The installer seems to have improved significantly.
Noticeably smoother with less seemingly random hitching.
I'm going back to 266.
I think there may be some wacky confusion when the game tries to detect and use the graphics processor.
Having 2 chips in there may be confusing things.
But the big problem is crashes.
Didn't crash before, does crash now, making a long game like Civ V risky to play without frequent saves.
I was annoyed that they added yet another feature to the driver, the Nvidia Installer.
These things are getting far too bloated with extra junk by default for my taste.
I'd prefer it if the only default items selected were the core driver and perhaps the PhysX stuff, and the installer, the 3D viewing and such were not checked for installation by default.
Sometimes it works, sometimes you get a black box.
Still, it is an improvement over the earlier versions, so even with the flaws, I think 3 stars is fair at this stage.
With this driver there some graphical glitches in Bioshock 2 problems with surfaces.
Ran the Windows 7 system rating application, no changes from previous driver version, Nvidia states some games had up to a 12% increase in performance on a triple boot Xp-Windows7-Linux mint 10 Reviewing 263.
At nvidia's driver catalog, try choosing the latest nvidia graphic card ' Geforce 580 ' and you will see nvidia's 263.
This is always happening on fileforum and majorgeeks.
I really wish these sites would read release notes before they post false information.
Now the game is locking up during play, something it has not done at all before since the v1.
On their site Nvidia says the.
So for me, this one is a bust.
Should be the other way around.
I'll be switching back to amd and may probably never look back.
Also I couldn't get in Nvidea control despite total removal and reg entries and careful re-install.
In the end I imaged back to yesterday.
Updating Nvidea is becoming a task not for the faint hearted.
However, on another options screen it then sees the previously 'recommended' resolution as the native resolution.
Completely opposing information on the two screens.
Upgrading these drivers was once merely a routine task, but it's now verging on nightmare status.
Two steps forward and one backward with this and the previous version.
Last, it simply hates Prince of Persia and using any of the x-antialiasings with only that program breaks the entire custom program settings control panel and you must reinstall the drivers to fix the problem.
All of these problems, remaining from before and manifesting only since the new installer, means a downgrade from two stars to only one star.
It seems faster and more comprehensive while still remaining simple.
However, it still needs some bugs worked out.
For instance: I chose the new 'clean installation' option where it's supposed to remove all of your old versions completely before installing the new versions.
It got rid of my old stuff, rebooted the machine, installed the new software, only to have the Nvidia Control Panel turn out to be completely broken.
And hell, I haven't even modified my drivers or system at all.
It was all fairly standard stuff.
Hopefully they'll get this crap ironed out before the next big release.
It took 4 attempts to get the new driver properly installed--and I'm still not absolutely certain all is well.
I'm getting notifications I've never before received when making certain changes via the control panel.
And another game where it miserably fails is Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands.
And I'm also using the 460 graphics card.
Really a pain for game playing.
I can't pin down a pattern.
I can only guess what it is about the way Windows 7 handles video that is causing this to happen.
It can't be all Nvidia's fault, can it?
It's all kind of frustrating.
I hope they get it fixed.
Some games are obviously problematic - like Quake 3 Arena and Painkiller, but others, such as Dirt 2, are harder to discern.
Don't bother if you do not have a 4xx card.
Some games can see options for 1600x1200, 2048x1536 and 2560x1600, but other games see nothing beyond 1280x96 in 32 bit mode.
So, score of 3 for 'breaking' stuff that worked in prior releases.
My rating reflects my annoyance with the last release that was pulled a couple of days after release.
In testing, I found that 195.
So I'm sticking with 186.
Roll back driver failed in device manager had to remove and re-install older package Reviewing 191.
This means I no longer have access to detailed configurations or controls like acceleration, performance vs.
I've notified both the board manufacturer and Nvidia, both who claim Windows 7 certification with said driver and chipset however neither of them seem to be able to isolate or iron out the problem.
Big improvement over previous 190.
My Winsat numbers went back to where they were on Vista.
This alone is worth the cost of upgrading.
I don't seem to be experiencing too many slow-downs, even with tons of opponents in both games.
If they experience problems before a new release hits, I'll post the details.
But so far, they feel pretty solid.
Worth a 4 as a result, at least for me.
And under Windows 7 and I'm assuming Vista , I don't even have to close my web browser to fully update the drivers, much less reboot.
Also, I've had no problems with letting the Nvidia installer handle the update process rather than manually uninstalling the old drivers every time.
Just wondering if these are any better before I commit to a 100 megabyte download, as I'm on a blackberry for my net currently.
Still - I don't get about the concern about the control panel.
I have it installed and the default control panel seems just fine to me.
Is there a problem with the default Nvidia control panel?
Could you elaborate on that 'registry change' that will give me the classic one so I can compare?
They work pretty well, but so do the Vista drivers which are newer.
Now everytime I need to enable tv-out or disable it I have to do it manualy while a small script could do that for me in the older versions.
There is always something wrong with Nvidia Reviewing 182.
And yes, it's becoming bloatware than ever.
It's nVidia's vision fault since it controls what to give to the users.
It's so called Unified Driver - aka.
The proof is that the driver can't rule them all.
From what I've known from nVidia users in forums and blogs, more and more various complaints regarding the drivers are pouring.
Last working drivers - 180.
It's back to the previous version which flew like a jet.
This worked perfectly in 180.
But I would like to know if most future driver releases will be focused almost exclusively on post 8xxx hardware.
I don't want to get left behind completely if there are any driver efficiencies or bug-fixes that could benefit 8xxx users.
The latest for your card is.
Use this link in the future to get drivers for your card.
Switch to new life for maybe more 'intellectual' brain.
At first you must read the description and to find there the words about 80's series.
First, I don't like the bundling with the Physics sp?
But an uninstall fixed that ok.
While I try to save fairly often, sometimes you just get caught up in the game and end up skipping the backup.
That's usually when the crash happened.
So, for me, these deserve a higher rating because it actually improved my system stability for the games that I play most often.
When I select this in the Nvidia setup, it works as it should.
It centers the actual max resolution in the center of the screen with four black borders around it.
That is what I want it to do, because stretching it edge to edge just looks blurry and pixelated.
So, continued kudos for that functionality as well.
Taked 6 minutes, and make no changes.
No new glitches to be found so far and I'm glad of that.
The last release I tried just wigged out the machine and I had gone back down to version 175.
But these new ones seem fine, thankfully.
There are visual anomalies with some web forms.
After all, if you break a key Windows feature for thousands of users, why rush fixing it.
I did the same thing.
I think someone is is adding an inf.
Anyone can confirm if 177.
Ive gone back to 174.
I didn't interpret that as meaning 'But we removed support for all other Nvidia cards on the planet.
Score down to 1 cause it won't even install on my rig.
All I need is a changelog and I'll be giddy!
I'll give 'em a 3 for now cause I have not had time to install it and run bunches of tests with my games and stuff, but I'll come back and update the score to be fair.
If I can just get it to stop crashing while I play Rise of the Witch King with Anti-Aliasing on, then that would be a huge improvement for me.
Thanks Nvidia, for at least trying to make the effort to get these bugs fixed faster.
Coincidence perhaps, but no problems since.
No matter how I set the scaling and no matter how I try to force other 16:10 resolutions, it's stuck in 16:9 mode with black bars at the top and bottom.
All older driver revisions work fine.
Nvidia seems to have screwed up something fundamental with the changes to display handling, at least for my hardware config.
On my 6200 i only get heating issues with anything newer than 93.
I do not know if even a single on of their drivers has been certified by Microsoft as being steady and not causing any system crashes.
And everytime I do, the new version crashes my system.
So I had to revert to version 169.
Constant bugs, constant betas, zillion of resident pieces and less than stellar multi-screen operation, just so that we can get that +2fps 'they way it's meant to be played'.
I had a great Nvidia card and used their updating a lot.
But with the change to Laptops and these silly phones that try to do everything, there isn't much need to update your nvidia unless you have a desktop Reviewing 174.
What cards does it work with?
I feel it is a bad trend that drivers for your expensive hardware now includes ads.
Go to the Nvidia site and get them from there.
It will be under beta.
If this is an April fools joke, it's a damned good one!
C'mon nVidia I do not want to buy new hardware just to run Vista.
Hypothetically, say blue is your favourite colour, but another person hates it.
If that person said on a forum the colour blue sucks, does that mean it sucks for you too?
Its fair enough to comment that is doesn't work any better for a particular game, but even then it should be commented on the overall positives, and the fact that is no worse than previous drivers.
The last point of note is that these are labelled beta for a reason, to rate something down just because it is a beta isn't that intelligent, afterall this is a 'betanews' site!
The rating system out of 5 should be scaled in respect to the fact that its intentions are for beta programmes.
When rating, give a rating for your thoughts on it.
One driver set I will need to reconfigure all my preferences for dual displays, resolutions, main monitor, icons, etc.
The bottom line is that it is primarily in Microsoft's hands.
Since releasing certain fixes will screw up other things thus affecting their customer feedback data they will be holding off many of the fixes and releasing the bulk of it at once.
If it did I'd make the switch to 64-bit Vista instead as long as I can get everything I need working.
If you're buying a new computer I'd still get Vista.
I'm personally in no rush.
I find that probable but it's no longer certain.
They need to fix this now.
People use their pc's for more than gaming.
Full-screen playback in Media Center seems to work fine, here.
This has caused me to pass them over this time and wait for the next round..
I spend all morning trying getting 169.
I'm such a victim, I should have these uninstalled by morning, I'm sure.
Crysis demo plays much smoother with these.
I no longer have Vista x86 installed but I know that games are typically running at 90%+ frame rates now.
I expect gaming on either 32-bit platform to be nearly identical soon.
While many games running in 32-bit Vista work fine performance in 64-bit Vista is miserable.
This is likely to mean that frame rates on average may be only 40% in Vista x64!!
I am planning on benchmarking Half-Life 2 64-bit version and I may update this comment with the results.
Vista has made some changes to the way graphics work.
Vista x64 will be up and running, probably by mid 2008 whereas Linux is anybody's guess.
Having said that, I expect to see a sudden explosion of half-decent Linux games in glorious 3D beginning roughly 2009.
Especially Massive Multiplayer Online gaming.
I'm trying to determine whether to buy a 64-bit or 32-bit version of Vista for a laptop in March 2008.
While there can be a significant performance boost particularly for software which primarily uses the 64-bit registers it is the increased security and stability which interest me.
However, the advantages come at the major cost of the currently very poor driver support.
This will get fixed in future driver releases.
Additionally, by the time you really 'need' 64-bit Vista will be gone.
I say nearly everyone gamer or not should purchase 32-bit Vista.
Ask me in a year and I'll probably say nearly everyone should get 64-bit Vista unless you have expensive, unsupported hardare.
It is 'tied' to the Motherboard.
This will probably be out of beta soon considering the issues they solve.
The previous versions wouldn't install.
A clean install would simply result in a message saying 'The system has not been modified.
Please run the installation again.
This version installs and works fine when clean-installed, though I still wouldn't recommend trying it over top of an earlier Forceware.
You can actually make things worse.
You can easily open the Release Notes and search through it.
Most new drivers are for new cards.
They seem to be the newest ones that do not have this effect.
Really wish Nvidia looked into this and at least attempt to fix it.
Good thing, too, 'cause it was a hell of a rocky start.
I haven't experienced any stability issues, which can often be expected with betas.
Therefore, thats why it says geforce 2 to fx.
These drivers do work on the fx series cards, you just have to modify the inf.
They just aren't guaranteed to work.
The Fx series cards are quite old now anyway...
Remember they have to support 4 distinct operating systems, xp, x64, vista and vista x64, all of which require different drivers.
Video settings are lost and a black screen appears after each restart.
It is advised to install these drivers or newer before playing BioShock or the demo.
It is advised to install these drivers or newer before playing BioShock or the demo.
Now I haven't downloaded this version yet, when i get home I will, I downloaded the previous beta had some interesting results with video playback but my game performance certainly was better.
Isn't that up to date enough for you?
Where does a rating of '1' come from anyway?
You should either justify your score or change it.
Also, there are Release Notes for each new release.
Notes: a You can easily find your card, i.
I was forced to return to old stable 91.
The best latest release is 160.
Had you installed the free nVidia nTune program those conditions and most issues could be adjusted out and the color profile and performance set.
It suggested I install this driver on my machine.
I did and it runs great.
I made several attempts to contact Nvidia and they did not respond, so I returned the card and took a 25% loss.
That said, there is a new Nvidia beta driver for us as of May 17th!
Where it gets really confusing is that some or all Quadro cards are included in the Geforce drivers but this driver release 160.
Other mistakes have included drivers for the 8-only series 8800xx, 8600xx etc being incorrectly posted, downloaded and installed.
Any change to these drivers is going to be very, very minor.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Some older cards get dropped.
Havent tried with many games, but no crashes on my system even after the regtweak, I would recommend these.
This driver release is the greatest driver release in the history of nVidia as far as I'm concerned.
Fixed every issue with my sound card, yes I said sound card.
Games that had issues before now run great.
The latest beta GeForce graphics driver for Windows Vista is version 158.
They work for the majority of us.
Get them straight from the source.
It's the best way I know.
So, use this new driver at your own peril!
Here are the release notes: However, there is still a problem with Vista and Sleep Mode....
I hope that updated drivers will change this.
Recommended video cards: It depends completely on your needs.
One of the really big problem is the Power being consumed.
I leave my computer on a lot for non-gaming issues and 160Watts to idle a card just the card is insane.
It can take a 92mm fan, but I saw a 120mm solution.
If you like modding this is great.
Consider getting the Gigabyte passively cooled card.
I had hoped that the new generation of video cards would be designed to throttle down to some incredibly low state.
Just know exactly what you want the card for and don't end up playing demanding games at low frame rates because you got the lower card.
A new computer will consume up to 20X that just to watch a movie.
I gained about 500 in 3dmark06 over the 97.
BetaNews should research things before they post them and get the proper info out.
First nVidia driver that's done this.
If this is a supposed improvement with them throwing resources at it, god help us.
You need to mod the inf files to support it.
At least nVidia's control panel doesn't require.
Submited to the FileForum a few days ago but have not shown up yet.
Nvidia says this one is Media Center edition.
As of 2nd November, the latest generic drivers are: Reviewing 97.
This allows people that want to test Nvidia's officially released betas as opposed to some podunk coder who thinks he knows what he is doing, but inadvertently screws up a system.
It varies quite a lot depending on the graphics functions being used.
I would wait until at least 2008 and even then full compatibility with some software and hardware may never be there.
I gave this a rating of 4 because it runs about 80% but is completely stable.
They date back to October.
Nvidia, please make drivers for Windows 64.
I probably should not rate something based on my past experience and what I've read elsewhere.
Usually when this happens I get to come back and upgrade my rating after giving something a good try.
This time I was dead wrong.
At least here at BetaNews we can edit our reviews.
These drivers are for the new 8800 series.
Not for the 6800 series anyway.
This is common for nVidia though.
Say it's for all when it's not.
I think they need to start looking at what they are doing when they post a driver release.
They are quite often way off in the descriptions.
This is not the first time.
I want an 8800 card too.
But I think I'll wait a few months though.
They do not support the full range, as they don't work on my 7900.
It fixed the color banding problem on the flat panel screen.
I also get truer colors online.
I never really expect to get much of a boost from a driver update, but i must confess that this one has some kick to it.
The nvidia control panel is a must have for fine adjustments and quick resolution changes.
Download link is on the nVidia home page, but you get the 'Page cannot be displayed' error when you accept the license agreement.
It also includes the nVidia control panel and the tray app.
Users of series 6 cards beware, I have had problems with drivers from this range.
Your chosen desktop resolution and overall refresh rate have nothing to do with gaming performance.
If you choose 1280x1024 and 16-bit in the game it does not care that you have 1152x864 and 24-bit on your desktop.
I don't know what kind of system you have, but I urge you to look for games that you can run close to maximum quality even if they are older games.
Just to be able to play games at maximum refresh rates!
Fortunately you can still use the old one if you choose.
The drivers themselves gave me a slightly better 3dMark 06 result over v91.
They list this on every page that you can download a new version from.
If your card isn't mentioned at all or if it's for a fix you know you don't need don't bother.
Also, I'm seeing some ridiculously low scores for silly reasons.
They're getting ready to release and someone else linked you.
Let's rate software for how well it performs and for no other reason.
In fact, I can't directly comment on 91.
It's on Nvidia's web site, type in 91.
This driver only gives more support for the newer Geforce 7000 series graphics cards.
If you're satisfied with the current 91 drivers I would recomment you staying with it.
I don't see any bug fixes listed in Forceware 91.
You can search the article by putting in your video card into the search ie '6600gt.
Remember to disable Antivirus as I guess sometimes it can interfere although in practice I've never seen this.
But the download link connects to the 32bit version anyway.
It's under beta and driver archive funny.
I play command and conquer generals old game.
I can't play with 91.
When I click right mouse on desktop, it takes like 4 seconds to show menu, and when I change something in the new control panel it starts blinking around for at least 10 seconds before it stops with the new settings, I don't like this release at all, its big and it gets stuck all the time when you work with settings.
If your cards specific issues isn't listed then you may not need to update.
Whys is this file so large?
Use the posted nVidia driver page link.
These drivers still get a 4 because their performance is good.
Not necessarily better than previous versions, but definitely not worse.
You can use the classic control panel, so it's not really a problem.
Preview images do not always appear and adjustments are not seen in some cases when adjusting.
Difficult to associate custom settings with other applications when needed.
If you mess with it for a while it grows on you.
The control panel merges with nTune making one control panel for both motherboard and video card.
I really like the merge.
These drivers are great but...
I don't like the new control panel.
It looks more modern but I can't get on with it.
It's too hard to find settings you want to change.
I've tried it out before on a beta version too.
The old control panel, while not too pretty, did work and was easier to navigate around.
That's worse than this new control panel!
Things are hard to find, and navigation is abysmal lots of 'back - home - paging It wouldn't even display some options until I found a 'nopages.
Display optimization will not work at all.
It tells me my 'monitors are in clone mode'.
I have only one monitor and it is configured correctly.
Tray Icon can not be disabled.
It is a little bit buggy though.
After going through the quick start config, it didn't make any changes, had to launch it manually and do it again.
If you aren't having problems then don't install.
If you are and your problem isn't mentioned, well who knows?
Install on the off chance that your problem will be fixed.
Try reading the Release Notes.
They mention a lot of errors including non-nVidia errors.
Very unintuitive and missing many of the options available on the old version.
Fortunately, there is a way to use the old control panel by default.
Otherwise, these drivers seem to work fine on my rig.
Anisomorphic filtering looked really bad with lots of banding in WoW, and changing from clone to single display resulted in odd resolutions that the screen didn't adapt itself to.
Their driver support lacks and is no where near what they claim.
For example I use a Nforce 4 chipset, and a friend has a Nforce 3 chipset.
There has not been a driver for Nforce 3 for a very long time, either 32 ore 64 bit.
Same goes for Nforce 4.
Now its not as if the drivers aren't unified, I always download the latest available, and modify the inf.
Its also the first time I've had excellent network speed and not slow down the computer response wise when there is heavy download traffic from the computer.
Anyways its starting to get a little ridiculous and I'm not happy that a 64 bit version isn't available yet despite their claims of concurrent releases.
My earlier one should have been overwritten.
Don't bother with Beta unless you absolutely need to.
Unfortunately, I made an assumption and the couple reviews that I read didn't talk about the problem with not combining the video ram.
It's not for the masses.
It's best when you want the top performance, and that comes at a dramatic price.
Don't bother with Beta unless you absolutely need to.
It 'clones' your memory to speed up access but you do not get more memory so if you need it you're out of luck.
It turns out that it is best to spend your money on one video card.
Smoother frame rate that's obvious to me.
Haven't checked it out in some of the games that apparently had issues, but I can already see improved image quality over my older drivers.
Don't expect any improvement on a GeForce 2.
Oh and in case FileForum doesn't post the correct version, this is for version 82.
Several other individuals I know are reporting the exact same problem, I so cannot believe that this is a problem with my system config.
Since most of my lockups are complete system halts, it's practically impossible to troubleshoot.
Fatray: If you're referring to the age of the GeForce 440 chipset, you're missing the point.
The device is listed as a supported product.
As such, it should work flawlessly with this device.
Make sure you uninstall past version before installing this new version!!!
The last new driver that worked for my card was also 7.
I guess nVidia thinks it is time we upgraded our cards.
New drivers have not supported it after 71.
Though the version is the same there are differences.
Only with the game profiles though.
No more worrying about which chipset you have.
Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing the drivers.
This prevents the driver from configuring itself properly.
They usually are quite good.
Are you using a mobo with an SiS chipset, I wonder?
Good luck finding a good resolution!
When I had a GeForce 2 DungeonSiege broke with the newest drivers 7.
Just needed to do some minor tweaking to fix lighting affects, as for the textures err..
Anyone else having issues with 6600s?
I'm perfectly happy with my 7x.
Seems to be a common problem with Dual Monitors.
The forums in various other sites are filled with users complaining about the same thing.
They normally do a great job in stability.
No problem to date, but no noticeable improvement either.
Actually, the cursor freezes in place, but when I move the mouse around I can tell that it is being tracked -- tooltips pop up and I can click on things all over the desktop, but the cursor doesn't move so I have no real way of knowing where the mouse is.
Read the changes since the latest approved drivers.
If there is nothing on the list that you 'need' then don't upgrade.
I don't seem to have any problems uninstalling newer beta and reinstalling older drivers but this used to be a big problem.
I read the release notes, installed this codec and actually fixed a problem!
The true official Beta drivers web address is: Reviewing 75.
Killed my mouse until I uninstalled it.
I'll wait for the next one.
These are considered beta releases but since they're not released through the nVidia website, they're not considered 'official' betas and are very much 'use at your own risk'.
This driver is considered an Official Beta because it is being released through the nVidia site itself and not one of the driver sites like guru3d.
Official driver release or 'Beta' release?
This is the second time I was led to believe that new drivers were 'officially' released for the nVidia video card.
Turns out that that time, and now, are just nVidia's version of Beta drivers.
Wish this would have been clearly stated at the beginning.
I'm confused because dl this one and no update happened : Reviewing 81.
And if these are beta, why dont they state it?
After I disabled the second monitor I could get into windows for a little while then it would insta-reboot.
I have 6800gt agp Reviewing 78.
I have had problems since 66.
The game will crash, or even cause a hard reboot.
I tried rolling back to my 66.
As far as dropping the older GeForce cards, I don't see this as too much of a problem since any game which requires updated graphics drivers most likely will not run on one of those anyway.
I give these 4 out of 5, not because of my stability issues since I'll blame those on my hardware configuration, but because these drivers don't give enough flexibility in their configuration.
I want to see options like those in riva tuner, or at least leave a registry key like coolbits to enable them.
Posting this comment with the 77.
Running fine with my 6600gt.
Looks like nVidia has dropped support for its old graphic cards.
Hahah laughing stock they never work right ever!
Takes up too much memory, requires you to have.
It must have been too hard for them.
Before you start flaming a product that you probably don't even use, have a think about how moronic you sound.
Thanks to the poster who posted the fix.
It works great however I haven't tested it by rebooting.
Looked for days for a solution, tried every fix I could think of and others thought of.
The only fix was a clean Windows install to get my system running 100% again.
Looking for an answer I found many others who had the same problem.
It came down to these drivers being the problem.
All of my videos seem fine now not washed out and the artifacts I was getting in Battlefield 2 seem to be gone as well.
First when I installed it, Microsoft said something about non-matching logos.
I chose to continue anyway.
Then after 2 days I couldn't get into windows xp.
I had to go into safe mode and uninstall it.
I have a Geforce 6600, I shouldn't have problems with new drivers.
Perhaps they should leave the default gamma profile alone?
I had to configure it manually.
Also it has some installation problems.
I failed to install at first time.
My gf6600gt doesn't like it.
They're stable, played the Battlefield2 demo for about 6 hours straight without a hitch.
Definitely a must have for people with newer model cards though.
As I suspected there is no difference whatsoever in appearence or performance, but that's due to the old card I'm using.
This release has many many more improvements to fx and geforce 6 cards so if you skip some updates, skip the next one cause this one's big.
Anyone else having this issue?
Switched back 2 previous release...
I've tried all resolutions and refresh rates, no fix other than going back to the older 67.
Anyone aware of this problem?
This same problem occured with the beta version of 71.
I can't be the only schmuck having this problem.
I will give this a try, I will download it tomorrow...
Anyone know why this is?
Please note NiukNiuk refers you to the following site for a newer release - 'there's already the 71.
I did not download this and wanted to caution 'Buyer beware'.
But there's already the 71.
In that case, I guess these are the latest and greatest.
You are using BetaNews arn't you?
It is interesting though how these 67.
I'm not that desperate to update drivers every few days!
I know it is an old card.
I can't keep up with the speed of new releases.
A new nvidia driver version each day...
So maybe he isn't spending 6 - 10 hours a night playing Everquest and ignoring his wife and children and only needs it to type business documents so he can take his wife and children to the lake on the weekends with the money he makes...
Kind of nice in certain places and a sort of hardware hack since Punkbuster doesn't detect it : Reviewing 66.
In fact it makes them worse than before.
Maybe nVidia should make separate driver download for each model rather than an all in one solution.
It's crash instantaneous when play a video with Media Player, need to disable the overlays to work : Reviewing 61.
It is not -- it only functions well under the 64-bit version of Win 2003 server, and the release notes omits Win2003 32-bit entirely.
Is anyone here aware of a dependable driver that's better than the Microsoft default for Windows 2003 server 32-bit edition?
Farcry sucked really hard with 6x.
I don't have any other problems, but when I'm playing Far Cry, my fps is 10 worse than with 56.
It never makes it to main menu screen, it stops at the last load adn then flashs the screen endlessly.
I can hear the music from the main menu screen, but never see it.
Rolled back my drivers to 5.
Nvidia always puts out good drivers.
I'm currently running version 62.
Explorer crashes faulting module nvcpl.
It does not happen everytime.
I checked on google, some people have also reported similar issues.
This is getting very frustrating.
I do not know if these problems will continue after installing this 61.
Nvidia needs to figure out which versions they want to release and just stick to a set schedule.
I like to keep up to date, but honestly, the performance increases are barely, if at all noticeable between this and older Forcewares.
People ranting about massive speedups and such on 'enthusiast' forums are falling victim to the 'placebo' effect.
If your games run fine, close this window.
Never had any problems under Server 2K3 though.
I use Betanews as a cue for me to start checking for gold release drivers.
Nvidia does not have a more detailed guide to assisting on the new game profiles.
It would be nice to see a guide come out that says if the graphic glitches show a lot of speckles on the display then you should consider tinkering with anti-??????.
I plan on going through all the settings to try to take atvantage of the drivers improvements but think its a pain to not have a more detailed guide to help me out.
Hopefully they will have one out soon other than thier current one.
We were wondering wtf was going on, first thought it was our boxen, but both units did the same thing.
Works well now, it seems.
No game enthusiast is gonna stick with these especially since one can find the way better gaming improved 56.
I installed the driver few minutes ago, had a reboot and everything is fine.
Hand up for nvidia since they would never have been so poular if they wouldn't have the drivers released as they do it now: easy to install, one file for all at least almost all cards, and very fast in releasing new drivers.
Given it 3 stars, since I don't actually know if the drivers are good - just wanted to share my experience with my hardware.
Nvidia web page does not reflect this version...
I have not tried, so disregard 4-rating.
With regards to the people that seem to have problems with this driver release...
I want my taskbar across the bottom of both of my monitors..
Anyone know how to get the taskbar to span using these drivers?
Yes I know my card is old, but that does not mean they can just dump off support for this old card.
Shame the display control panel is utterly utterly broken on my machine.
They are not my choice even if everything works fine with them.
An average Nvidia driver which is worth downloading.
Nvidia posts their final drivers on the main drivers page.
I got mine from Guru3D.
Yes, it supports the wide range of Nvidia cards, not just the Quadro series.
All these ratings get mixed up, and when a new driver comes out, it is hard to judge what the actual score is for the new driver, because all the old ratings get tallied in too.
Is this for Quadro cards only or not?
No matter what I do???
Set your tvout to primary, then play the movie.
The driver is stable so far while I am writting this comments.
We will see after some time.
I'm sticking to the 43.
Good small package if you download the English version.
The install went without a hitch and I have not noticed any problems with any games.
The fact is, you can't find an entry for anything but the Quadro in these drivers.
They might if you tried to make your computer think your geforce is a Quadro, but that's risky.
Even if you don't have it checked to automatically use compatible drivers, it doens't pop up, so that's your only option.
If you have a Quadro, grab them.
Because these drivers work for all nVidia cards, but I am sure you already knew that.
I installed it and caused my Windows not to show anything anymore.
For those having similar problems, run in Safe Mode.
Then reinstall your old, trusted and tested Detonator drivers.
Then tell me, why is 43.
Since the description for these drivers is incorrect, it's important for me to re-post them.
They show up in the Windows folder on the nVidia ftp site.
Who cares if they are the 'correct' drivers if they work better than the 'correct' drivers?
Don't think official is the end-all term for drivers.
The latest official nVidia drivers, for most cards, are still the 41.
This is a feature I have been wanting for a long time!
What would be even better is if you have window spanning turned off then your monitor 1 apps will show up on the taskbar on monitor 1, and your apps on monitor 2 will show up on the taskbar on monitor 2..
It's always interesting to see how so many people diss a product due to a problem on their end with conflicting hardware or what not.
Not much noticed with the new version, I got a 6 point bump on my 3D Mark 2003 benchmark, but what is 6 points?
Also when using D3D, the screen flickers after alt-tabbing to the desktop.
I was playing Arx Fatalis and quite the game normally after updateing to the 41.
Needless to say I'm quite pissed.
I have been told it has stopped this although i havent had the problem myself.
More options on this version too.
Brings no increase in prformance over 40.
I have a G-Force 2 card and the best 3D Mark score was with, I repeat, the 40.
I have 11554 on a gf4600.
If you have older drivers and happy...
So far every iteration of the Detonator 40 drivers have caused me this problem...
They are noticeably smoother, and I picked up a couple hundred points over the 40.
Which brings me to conclude that their latest driver is equal to or slightly better than 40.
You just can't use the nView control panel still.
I hope that this gets fixed soon.
These drivers have scored lower than previous drivers, though, in speed trials so I can't give them a full 5 stars.
Seems like the crash bug on clicking display properties has been resolved.
Along with some other nice additions this is definately the best detonator till date :.
For you people upgrading from the 30.
It's helped a lot of people.
Lot's of nice options, lots of bugs fixed!
I agree Nvidia should make a decent installer that does all of this for you.
Also crasches under advanced options.
When going to 32 bit screen starts to blink from sides.
When using 16 bit res.
I expected more Reviewing 40.
Cant realy argue with that.
This is on a Geforce4 Ti however.
I wonder whether this is because these drivers are more reliable?
These may be optimized for the GeForce4 series, but seem to slow down my system's performance.
It it stable and the speed is good.
And I'd love to get 23.
That's why you can't download from it.
I use Via chipset with latest drivers.
Not able to get 23.
Why does this make it look official?
Of course they aren't official and of course they are leaked...
Stability, no crashing, acceptable performance.
No one said this was an official release!
As you should know, these drivers get leaked quite easily.
Anyway, still for some unknown reason to me, it seems like geforce 1 cards freeze in windows xp.
I have seen this problem reported at cnet too, so i guess i am not the only one.
Hence why they're so crappy, they're not official ly done?
After installing it you will get issues with Media Player.
Basically only the first window you play a movie in will be hardware accelerated.
Oh when I rebooted after installing this update it crashed while booting Win2k.
One more reboot and it worked.
Nvidia drivers are usually very stable...
They crash my system all the time.
Unbelievable that these are 'official' drivers.
You're much better off taking the performance hit of using the 21.
Time to get rid of them.
This is one upgrade I regret.
The system never crashed or hung, but performance was way down.
No amount of tweaking made come near to the performance of v21.
I am pleased to announce we have been running these since the night of release and have no Ploblems.
I tried previously somewhere in the version 8 range several times and in the teens numerous times and then even the previous release which was better 'made it about 1 day and then froze'.
I tend to spend most of my money in the speedy file transfer areas and various software rather than on graphic cards of late.
I guess its a trend.
Congrats to Nvidia for the continued support on the drivers.
I would rate them alot higher than 5 for their efforts!
Someone else has the same problem?
Better performance than previous official and beta drivers.
I liked how powerful perfmon is, but I hated that it took up system resources and wasn't very practical to have running all the time.
This program solves that problem and takes up almost no system resources.
Now I can check processor and memory usage with just a glance and a click.
If you are a power user get this program now!
But I am keeping with 21.
As fer' gamin', no complaints..
They are worse than 21.
These are 'world-class' drivers, stable as hell.
Plus, who wants to download 'leaked' drivers every other day?
I'll take the official releases any day.
BetaNews just doesn't know it yet.
Visual effects in games are definitely nicer fogging, distance effects.
Within 5 minutes of installing them, windows rebooted itself and complained on a dll of the nvidia drivers just installed.
Geforce 3 users with win2000 may be ok Reviewing 21.
On top of that, my 3dmark 2001 score went from 5000 to 5900..
Meanwhile, I stick to my 12.
After an hour or two of use, you will notice windows and icons 'paint' themselves on and off the screen.
I recieved a blue screen during boot after installing the 14.
Seriously though, i dropped 330+ points using these drivers and 3dMark2001.
Framerate is improved over past beta drivers as well.
The built-in Windows ones or something else?
All the v10 and v12 drivers have given me random lockups.
With all the detonator drivers Softice is not working.
I have to use the tnt2 driver from Microsoft w2k package.
Even the current offical 12.
Right now im using 10.
I also have the Diamond Viper V770 non-ultra card!
I left them in a while just to make sure it was the drivers and yes it was.
I went back to 6.
I am using the diamond viper 770 non ultra and I think they must just be tuned a little above the cards head but maybe this new set will eliminate that ploblem.
Other than that in game they worked great and never froze.
Only when I was checking email and loading pages etc.
It happened about 6 times ,once every 2 days or so.
No more problems, no more random reboots from the advnaced properties.
My half life doesn't work anymore!!
Now it is working under Windows 2000.
One problem is that while it is retrieving prices...
If internet connection is based upon 56k modem, I don't think I can bear this freezing time.
Thus, rating is still 3.
I can't get my GeForce 2 Ultra to work with any drivers.
Could someone please direct me to a site where you can get drivers that work.
The drivers don't work with any game like Half-Life or Quake 3.
I currently have Detanator 3 drivers installed.
At least there are no freeze ups and no hangs resulting in reset to boot.
And while playing counter strike, the characters would glow a greenish color.
But DirectX 8 final came out yesterday.
They get better with every release, especially for Quake 3.
To install, just choose 'Display a list of known drivers...
Uninstalling and going back to build 3.
I had to restore my Windows 2000 installatioin from a backup to get it running again.
It's been out for about 2 weeks.
This has been the best driver build that I've installed since 3.
Since then, I've tried about 10 different builds with varying degrees of compatibility problems and performance issues.
This one got everything right, and even has great frame rates in Q3A and Unreal Tournament.
I also like the system tray tool, so that I can have a gamma setting for gaming and another for my desktop.
Some other people have reported problems with this driver, but mine has been 100% trouble-free.
A great advancement though, build 5.
I have tried many many times over the past few days, it hangs for ages in the Firefox download window with 'A few seconds remaining', eventually shows complete, but running it always fails as a bad 7-Zip.
Have also tried getting it from other sites with the same result.
If anyone has got it ok, fancy throwing it up to Mediafire etc for me?
Nvidia suprised me by releasing this!
